Unscripted. Unposed.
Unscripted. Unposed.
Documentary-style wedding, event, and editorial photography for people who value real moments over staged poses.
“…fitted into our wedding day seamlessly and we barely noticed him”
“…it felt more like you were a guest than a supplier”
“You were amazing all day, especially going above and beyond”
Candid, unposed wedding and event photography in Bristol and the South West.
Storytelling reportage that captures genuine moments as they happen.
Unposed and natural observations. I have always been drawn to watching how people interact without influencing them too much. I studied architecture at university, so I’ve always had a deep interest in those micro, honest moments that shape who we are and how we experience.
Then when I got married myself and had an hour of walking around posing for Sarah Cameron in Bristol Zoo (yes, really). I realised how awkward I had made people feel. I vowed there and then to adjust the way I photographed people.
With that said, I don’t just stand on the sidelines photographing looking in. I get stuck in instead. I use small and unobtrusive cameras to capture the unposed and candid moments unfolding in front of me. By blending in and being part of the atmosphere my cameras disappear and people enjoy themselves naturally.

Personal Documentary Projects
Below is a series of unposed reportage photography projects around Bristol that I have been working on over recent years.
Pride in the Moment is a photographic documentary project exploring the collective effervescence of Bristol’s Pride celebrations and questions the real accessibility and misrepresentation of pride when it is commercialised.
Bristol is a culturally diverse city with a long history in its rail network. At the start of this project I assumed that the city’s railways had severed communities but I’ve now learned that Bristol has grown around the infrastructure.
During the COVID pandemic, I would take my daughter for walks on our one-hour-outside time. Along the way, we would discover all sorts of things that had been forgotten about, abandoned, and left to nature.
